Letters to the Editor

Thanks for Leading the Fight on Canadian Softwood Imports

Thank you, NAHB, for all that you are doing to have duties removed on Canadian softwood imports into the U.S. It is the American consumer and new home buyer who ultimately pay the increased prices.

The U.S. Coalition For Fair Lumber Imports is operating unfairly and contrary to international trade law. Its motive is to reduce competition. It is amazing how the U.S. can favor such a small group at the expense of the majority of Americans.

NAHB has been a consistent leader in attempting to point this out. As a Western Canadian company and a provider of softwood lumber products to the U.S. that stands to be harmed by the punitive U.S. coalition action, we appreciate the efforts of your national association. Thank you.
