NAHB President Named Secretary of Housing Council
At its March 10 meeting in Washington, D.C., the National Council of State Housing Boards (NCSHB) named NAHB President Kent Conine as secretary of its board of directors.
The NCSHB was created by the National Council of State Housing Agencies to help educate the board members of the state Housing Finance Agencies.
“I am honored to be named board secretary for an organization that is committed to housing education and development,” Conine said. “The NCSHB champions the cause of affordable housing in this country — a cause I strongly endorse and personally advocate.”
Conine was also recently appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to a two-year term as a board member of the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, which he is serving as vice chairman.
