Remodelers Can Become 'Aging-in-Place' Specialists

NAHB’s three-day Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) program will be offered during the Seniors Symposium to enable members to earn their CAPS designation and be better equipped to compete in home remodeling for aging-in-place.

The CAPS program, developed by the Remodelors™ Council in conjunction with the Seniors Housing Council, NAHB Research Center and AARP, teaches the technical, business management and customer service skills needed to meet the remodeling needs of the growing population of aging home owners who want to remain in their homes throughout their maturing years.

The program offers comprehensive, practical, market-specific information about working with older and maturing adults to remodel their homes for barrier-free living. CAPS course work includes:
