With more home owners having a strong desire to remain independent and at home, Aging-in-Place Technology Watch's Laurie Orlov predicts that the aging and technology industry will reach $20 billion by 2020.

To help members tap into this market, NAHB is offering a free-to-members webinar, “Build Profit and Possibilities with Home Health Technology,” to provide insights into this growing area of the home building industry, highlighting current trends in consumer preferences with respect to design and technology.

Attendees will:

  • Hear current trends in Aging-in-Place/50+ design trends
  • Learn future considerations for prospective buyers’ home healthcare needs
  • Understand the importance and benefits of builder/remodeler and electronic systems contractor (ESC) collaboration as well as the best way to develop a working relationship to meet current technology demands

Panelists include Tony Crasi, of The Crasi Company, an award-winning residential design/build firm in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and chair of the Home Technology Alliance (HTA); and Ric Johnson , of Right@Home Technologies Ltd., a specialty electronics company focusing on health and wellness through its Elite Systems Solutions division, and HTA vice-chairman.

Presented by NAHB’s Business Management & Technology Information Committee, the webinar will be from 2:00-3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
