David Ellis, CAE, the executive officer of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association, was installed as the 2011 president of NAHB’s Executive Officers Council (EOC) during the NAHB International Builders’ Show in Orlando last month.
This is Ellis’ second consecutive term serving as the EOC’s president.
“The EOC Board of Directors and leadership will work hard in the next year to make sure that Executive Officers have the tools they need to survive and thrive in these challenging times.” Ellis said. “We plan to have educational and interactive opportunities where EOs can share what is working for their association.”
“Now more than ever, we need a network for the EOs to work together,” he said.
Ellis has served on the EOC Board of Directors and on many of the councils’ major committees.
As president of the council, his primary responsibilities will include oversight of the annual EOC Seminar where EOs network with fellow EOs from around the country and share best practices, successes and plans for the future.
During his term, Ellis will also represent the interests of executive officers throughout the NAHB federation.
