Industry-renowned home sales specialist and NAHB “Legend of Residential Marketing” Bob Schultz has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the 2011 EnergyValue Housing Awards (EVHA) ceremony on Tuesday, Jan. 11, at the Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort in Orlando, the NAHB Research Center announced last week.
The awards are being presented on the evening before the start of the NAHB International Builders’ Show.
Now in their 16th year, the EnergyValue Housing Awards are the nation’s preeminent energy efficiency awards honoring builders and remodelers who voluntarily incorporate energy efficiency into all aspects of residential construction and renovation. EVHA challenges builders and remodelers to elevate standards for energy-efficient construction, provides educational opportunities for building professionals and fosters the adoption of energy efficiency principles.
Twelve EVHA finalists will be acknowledged at the ceremony, where they will learn if they are Silver or Gold winners and where the Builder of the Year, Remodeler of the Year and People’s Choice winners will also be announced. Finalists were selected from three climate regions — cold, moderate and hot — and five project categories — affordable, custom/demonstration, multifamily, production and existing homes.
The 2011 EVHA finalists are:
- Baldwin Homes, Inc., Arnold, Md.
- Cobblestone Homes, Saginaw, Mich.
- CVH Inc., DBA Clifton View Homes, Coupeville, Wash.
- DOE Building America Team of Building Media, Inc., & Green Builder Media, LLC (ReVISION House), Las Vegas
