Labor Ready, a multinational temporary staffing provider, and its parent company, TrueBlue, Inc., have been recognized by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement as an IMAGE (ICE Mutual Agreement Between Government and Employers) partner and have also been named by Forbes magazine as one of the “most trustworthy companies” in America.
The IMAGE program is designed to set standards that prevent the employment of unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. As an IMAGE partner, Labor Ready implements guidelines and best practices designed to ensure that workers are properly documented.
Forbes magazine’s “Most Trustworthy Companies” list is compiled by Audit Integrity, an independent financial analytics company. Companies are scored on a scale from 0 to 100 to assess their corporate accounting, governance and management practices. The companies with a higher rating tend to be more trustworthy.
Labor Ready received a top score of 100 and was only one of a handful of companies that met the criteria for the past five years or longer. Only 5% of publicly traded companies make the list; to qualify a company must earn a rating of 65 or more for eight consecutive quarters.
Labor Ready, Inc. was founded in 1989 in Kent, Wash. It started as a small operation with a vision of providing companies of all sizes with dependable temporary labor.
The company expanded to Canada in 1994 and has grown to become a publicly traded, financially strong, multinational organization with headquarters in Tacoma, Wash.
In 2007, the parent corporation was renamed TrueBlue, Inc. to reflect the company’s expanding family of brands.
Labor Ready is a member of the National Council of the Housing Industry — The Leading Suppliers of NAHB.
