Episode: "Zen Den"

• June 20, 9:00 a.m. EDT/PDT
• June 27, 8:30 a.m. EDT/PDT

Adam and Rockell are busy, on-the-go home owners near Charleston, S.C., and even though their life can be hectic, they long for a room where they can relax and unwind. Their house is small but their yard is large, so it makes sense to create a tranquil space outside where they can enjoy peace and quiet. Hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns know exactly what to do — they create a beautiful "Zen den." They begin by incorporating the large, beautiful oak tree in the yard into the design by laying flagstone around it — purposely keeping the joints wide for natural plantings. Alongside the patio, they put down several tons of river rock and install exotic lush plants. Above the patio, Dean and Derek build a pergola with sheer hanging curtains for privacy. They then build triangular planter boxes into the base of each post. For atmosphere, they add outdoor lighting as well as a water feature made from an old millstone. Finally, comfortable furniture and plenty of candles turn this corner of the backyard into a perfectly private "Zen den."

Episode: "Southern-Style Family Room"

• June 27, 9:00 a.m. EDT/PDT
• June 29, 6:00 p.m. EDT/PDT

Charleston, S.C., natives Ryan and Ivana Watkins are enjoying parenthood with their 20-month-old and another child on the way, but this burgeoning family will soon outgrow their modest home with its small living and dining area. With a pond view and ample outdoor space, Ryan and Ivana have decided that their backyard is the perfect place to spread their southern charm and create an outdoor family room. Hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns start the transformation by building a circular patio on one side of their small screened-in porch and staining an existing, ugly concrete slab. For tranquility, they build a fireplace from a simple kit and add a water fountain. They then install a beautiful grill and add plants — including edible ones and herbs — to make cooking easy. With plenty of seating and a dining table for six, the Watkins family has plenty of room to share their southern hospitality.

"Rock Solid" on HGTV

Episode: "Handmade Pavers"

• June 24, 3:30 a.m. EDT/PDT
• June 24, 8:30 p.m. EDT/PDT

Expert stone masons and hosts Dean Marsico and Derek Stearns break the mold by creating colorful, one-of-a-kind concrete pavers for an artistic outdoor patio and walkway. They start with a dilapidated concrete patio and walkway in need of an overhaul and, with old fashioned ingenuity and some creative help from their buddies at Stone Soup Concrete, they build a completely new style of concrete paver. They use four different vibrant colors and a special mix of super-strong concrete that they pour into custom molds. With the pavers in hand, they return to the job site to set them in an unusual, precise and original design.
