Use IBS Social Media Sites to Stay Updated, Connected at the Show

Attendees and exhibitors at the International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas next week will be able to take advantage of the latest social media and related technology to stay connected and updated on IBS activities before, during and after the show. All the technology is free.

Twitter

For example, attendees will be able to use Twitter to receive the latest update tweets on education courses, special events and other show information. To learn more, visit http://twitter.com/IBS2010.

In addition, attendees will be able to read late-breaking information, tweet about their own experiences at the show and read others’ tweets via the IBS hash tag, #IBS2010.

Facebook

Show attendees also will be able to use the IBS 2010 Facebook page to connect and share impressions of the show with other attendees.

To get involved in this interactive forum, attendees can simply click here for the IBS Facebook site, search for the International Builders’ Show and choose to “Become a Fan.”

Flickr

Show attendees will also be able to post, share and view the photos they take at IBS on the video hosting site Flickr. Using the Flickr site is free, but attendees must first set up an account at www.flickr.com.

Show organizers urge attendees to tag any photos they post on Flickr with the tags IBS2010 and 2010 International Builders’ Show so that others can easily find images when searching.

Photos from the 2009 IBS are available at www.flickr.com/photos/nahb_ibs.

YouTube

Attendees can also share videos they’ve made at IBS on the popular YouTube Web site. To share videos with other attendees and builders across the country, and to see all the latest IBS videos, attendees can visit www.youtube.com/IBSTV.

Show organizers recommend that attendees tag the videos they post with IBS2010 and 2010 International Builders’ Show.

iPhone App – BlackBerry Coming Soon

This week the producers of IBS 2010 are launching a free, brand new app for iPhone devices designed to help attendees maximize the value they get from the show. An app for BlackBerry PDAs is coming soon.  For more information, and to download the new iPhone app, visit http://bit.ly/IBS2010.
