The official headquarters for NAHB Multifamily during IBS, The Apartment and Condo Meeting Place will provide countless opportunities for education, networking and socializing as well as a respite from the hustle and bustle of the show for builders, developers and other industry professionals involved and interested in multifamily housing.

The results from NAHB’s recently released Multifamily Consumer Preferences Survey, which highlights what renters and condo buyers want in their next home and community, will be discussed. Attendees will learn about what features and amenities are a must, the primary source for the downpayment, popular mortgage options for condo buyers and preferred rents.
Rose Quint, NAHB’s assistant vice president for survey research, also will compare the current environment for multifamily housing to past cycles in order to examine trends and provide a historical perspective.

In this informative presentation, Paul Emrath, NAHB’s vice president of survey and housing policy research, will present data from two NAHB economic impact models — resources that could make getting multifamily projects approved by a local municipality easier. The session also will discuss how to share this vital information with local zoning or planning boards, other government agencies and the general public to illustrate how multifamily construction can benefit the surrounding community.
