Executive Officers Council Events at the Builders’ Show
The Executive Officers Council (EOC) is providing a full schedule of networking opportunities and educational programming — including an EOC welcome party at the Howl at the Moon dueling piano show — during the 2008 International Builders’ Show in Orlando next month.

Monday, Feb. 11
- EOC How To: Parade of Homes
10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Orange County Convention Center, West 224 E
Executive Officers can learn from their peers how to run a parade of homes or scattered site show. The session provides information on how to get the most out of sponsors and how to negotiate contracts. Attendees will also learn about new marketing and advertising strategies to use in the changing economy.
- Education: “Making Love — How to Hold Your Members Close for Life”
8:00-10:00 a.m.

In this session, EOC members share how to make the connection between member allegiance and retention and how to use the payoff to strengthen loyalty within local and state associatons.
- Convention Survival Training
1:00-3:00 p.m.
Orange County Convention Center, West 224 E
A “must attend” event for Executive Officers attending the builders’ show for the first time. The session will teach first-time attendees how to decipher their schedules and prioritize their time in relation to their needs.

- Education: “Managing Association Budgets When Revenues Decline”
3:00-5:00 p.m.

Executive Officers who have been through industry downturns in the past will provide tips and strategies on how to survive an economic downturn and manage budget issues in the face of declining revenues and fixed overhead expenditures.
