Networking Events, Educational Sessions Just for Associates
NAHB is hosting a series of educational sessions and networking events — including a networking breakfast and a workshop ― for associates at the 2008 International Builders’ Show in Orlando.

Tuesday, Feb. 12
- Associates Get Connected Workshop
8:00-9:30 a.m.
Orange County Convention Center, West 207A
This workshop enables associates — members and non-members alike ― attending the builders’ show for the first time or returning to the show to familiarize themselves with NAHB associate member programs. Associates will learn about numerous benefits and resources, as well as associate member committee and council functions.

For all associates, a meeting to discuss associates programs, meet-and-greet with other members and learn about how to get involved in associate affairs.
Wednesday, Feb. 13
- Education: “Tips for Manufacturers & Supplier Success in a Soft Housing Market”

This session will provide insight into the supply side of the building products industry and how to adjust product development, distribution, marketing and sales strategies to maximize success. National survey results and implications from the NAHB Research Center's 2007 and 2008 Soft Market Studies will be discussed and compared.

This event honors the best of the associate members and includes the presentation of the Associate of the Year Award, the induction of new members into the Society of Honored Associates and the presentation of the associate's Bill Polley/BUILD-PAC Award in recognition of the winning associate's long-standing commitment to pro-housing legislative and advocacy activity.

Two builders and two manufacturers identify issue/problem scenarios and then explain how an in-depth partnering relationship solved the problems and created a "win-win" situation for both the manufacturer and builder.
