Members Urged to Use NAHB Online Resources to Sell Homes

As part of NAHB’s continuing efforts to help members and state and local home builders associations respond effectively to the challenges raised by the current housing slowdown, NAHB President Brian Catalde reached out to the national membership just after the holidays with an e-mail message on available NAHB resources and a number of promotional tools that can be used immediately.
“As our industry continues to experience a significant downturn in many markets nationwide, NAHB leadership is focused on helping members and associations in any way it can,” Catalde said.
“We are collaborating around the clock with industry organizations and the government to reverse the housing downturn, working with the national media to combat the negative media coverage, and producing a supply of resources to help you sell homes in this challenging market,” he said.
Several resources from NAHB are available now to help members improve their businesses, he said, and they can be either customized to include specific company information or used as is.
Following are the links to these resources. In order for them to work, members must be logged in to www.nahb.org with their NAHB user name and password. (To find out their login ID or password, members can contact Member Services at 800-368-5242 or by e-mail):
In addition to these, Catalde said that members can take advantage of online resources that continue to be updated by NAHB. These include:
Also, at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando on Feb. 13 to 16, NAHB educational sessions will focus on strategies for survival and success including: “Accelerating When the Market Stalls;” “Marketing Against Re-Sales & Foreclosures;” and “The Psychology of Selling in a Challenging Market.”
There are many more members-only resources on www.nahb.org.
