Work groups of the NAHB Business Management and Information Technolgy Committee oversee the creation and updating of key business management publications, including "Home Builder Contracts & Production Management Forms." |
The work groups of the Business Management and Information Technology Committee create new and updated publications so members can run their businesses better. The work groups meet at the 2008 International Builders’ Show (IBS) and at NAHB’s spring and fall board meetings to determine what publications to work on.
- The Publications and Education Work Group currently oversees publications including the “Builder Business Guides and “Home Builder Contracts & Construction Management Forms, 2nd Edition.” They also review, rank and sponsor educational sessions for IBS and nextBUILD, the technology component of the Builders’ Show.
The work group will meet from 8:00-10:00 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the Orange County Convention Center, West 208 A.
- The Financial Management Issues (FMI) Work Group oversees the development of such products as the “NAHB Chart of Accounts” and the “Cost of Doing Business Study.” The “2008 Cost of Doing Business Study” will debut at IBS.
The work group will meet from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the Orange County Convention Center, West 208 A.
- The Information Technology Work Group oversees the Technology Solutions Directory — a resource for builders, remodelers and contractors to find information on construction software and IT solutions and services for their businesses. The work group also oversees the computer labs at IBS/nextBUILD.
The work group will meet from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11 at the Orange County Convention Center, West 208 A.
The work group meetings are open to all visitors.
