I Beam Joist From Georgia-Pacific Speeds Up Installing Systems

Attendees at the International Builders’ Show on Feb. 13 to 16 in Orlando will find a range of structural and decorative plywood products, moisture- and mold-resistant gypsum products, regular drywall, joint compounds, engineered lumber, decorative wall coverings and more at Georgia-Pacific's Booth W3159.
Among the products that Georgia-Pacific will be featuring:
- The XJ 85 Wood I Beam joist. This innovative engineering achievement provides strategically placed, wide openings through which builders can easily install plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems. The pre-cut holes allow for quicker installation and reduced waste on the job site and will reduce callbacks.
-
DensShield tile backer. This tile backer board is mold-resistant, with fiberglass-mat facings and a unique acrylic coating that blocks moisture from entering the wall or floor cavity. DensShield is the superior moisture- and mold-resistant substrate for tile on floors and walls and in wet areas such as kitchens and bathrooms.
- DensArmor Plus paperless interior drywall. This is the first and only paperless drywall, incorporating glass-mat facings on the front and back instead of paper facings found on traditional drywall. To support better air quality, DensArmor Plus drywall is the first gypsum drywall product to receive indoor air quality recognition from the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, including GREENGUARD’s stringent Children and Schools Certification for interior finish materials used in educational environments.
