Armstrong Offers Resilient Flooring, Organized Kitchens
Armstrong World Industries is providing builders with a display of innovative flooring and kitchen cabinetry at Booth W1359 during the International Builders’ Show in Orlando on Feb. 13-16.
ChefCenter from Armstrong Cabinets maximizes space and keeps cooks organized by integrating logical, task-focused design in the kitchen. It puts pots, pans, utensils, oils and spices within easy reach for an efficient area that facilitates cooking tasks, and can be customized to meet personal needs.
ChefCenter’s maple Shaker-beaded door style is well-suited to town or country. Its classic, casual look is impressive, with solid maple panels and true Shaker-width frames.
Convention-goers will also have the opportunity to find out more about StrataMax, a revolutionary and uniquely layered sheet floor that is durable and easy to install. It was designed not to buckle because of climate changes when installed with the loose lay method.
The fiberglass product can be installed loose lay over OSB, with no glue required. StrataMax offers the maximum stain and scratch resistance of Clean Sweep and the durability of ToughGuard II, which guarantees against ripping, tearing and gouging. It is also certified to meet or exceed low emission standards so that it has no adverse effect on indoor air quality.
Armstrong Premier Performance hardwood flooring is perfect for active homes with kids and pets. Through a proprietary process, liquid acrylic and stain are infused in the floor for increased hardness and added durability that increase resistance to dings and dents compared to traditional hardwood floors. The flooring is available in a wide range of colors — from natural to wind-swept gray and black olive — across six species, including maple, hickory, oak, cherry, birch and walnut. It comes in 3”, 4 ½” and 5 ¼” widths and square or micro edges and ends.
The product comes with a 35-year warranty for finish and lifetime structural integrity.
Armstrong’s Bruce Westchester ¾” engineered plank offers the same thickness as a solid hardwood product but with the extra benefit of increased dimensional stability. Providing the overall thickness of a solid floor in an engineered 100% genuine hardwood structure eliminates issues associated with seasonal movement, such as the shrinkage and expansion that can occur with a solid floor.
The extra-thick rigid product provides a dimensional structure that can be installed over subfloors with wide joist spacings to cover spans with low risk of movement. With a one-time sanding warranty, it can be sanded and refinished like a solid wood floor.
The Westchester engineered plank can be installed on all levels of the home over most subfloors, including wood, concrete or existing vinyl and it can be glued, floated, stapled or nailed. It is available in a range of colors in oak, maple and hickory and comes in 3 ¼” and 4 ½” widths.
