Benjamin Obdyke Roof and Wall Products Displayed on Model Home

Benjamin Obdyke Incorporated, a provider of residential roof and wall products marking its 140th anniversary this year, is spotlighting its full line of Home Slicker rainscreen component products and its new Gap Guard expandable foam sealant for window and door frames at Booth S11331 at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando on Feb. 13-16.

The company has created a small-scale model home for the booth depicting how its roof and wall products enhance the overall building system and maximize the performance, durability and value of its outer structure.

Among the products installed on the model are:

  • SynShield, a synthetic roof underlayment
  • Cedar Breather, an underlayment for cedar shingles and shakes
  • Mortairvent, a two-ply mortar deflection and ventilation system specifically designed to be used with manufactured stone, stucco, EIFs and brick
  • Rapid Ridge, a rolled, nail gun-able ridge vent
  • Xtractor Vent XLP Turbo, an externally baffled, shingle-over-roof vent available in 25-foot rolls.

At its booth, Benjamin Obdyke will also be displaying the superior performance of its patent pending Hydrofilament Technology, which has been used to produce a housewrap that drains more quickly than existing housewraps currently on the market.

Off the exhibit floor, Benjamin Obdyke’s director of new product development, Michael Coulton, will be one of four presenters at an educational seminar on “Managing Moisture in the Residential Building Envelope” on Friday, Feb. 15, 3:30-5:00 p.m. in South Hall Room 330 E-H.

The seminar focuses on professionals who want to incorporate good moisture management solutions when designing and building homes to ward off problems such as mold and mildew damage, while increasing energy efficiency.
