DuPont Products Protect Homes From Nature at Its Worst

In Booth W1571 at the International Builders’ Show in Orlando from Feb. 13-16, DuPont will be showcasing its family of residential and commercial construction systems that provide the highest quality protection and safety from the elements, as well as surfaces that offer unrivaled design flexibility and customizable aesthetics.

Show attendees will be able to find out more about The DuPont StormRoom with KEVLAR. This is the only in-home shelter reinforced with DuPont KEVLAR, the same life-saving material used in bullet-resistant vests protecting our military forces and police officers.

The room is designed to endure wind speeds of up to 250 miles per hour and meets Federal Emergency Management Agency national performance criteria for tornado and hurricane shelters.

The StormRoom is solidly anchored to concrete foundations with chemically-set anchors powerful enough to help resist the wind uplift generated by the most powerful storms.

For the past 30 years, builders and remodelers have realized the benefits of DuPont Tyvek Weatherization Systems, which create comfortable, energy-efficient buildings and protect homes from nature at its worst.

The systems work together to provide superior protection against air and water infiltration for homes in any region or climate. The full portfolio of products helps seal the building envelope and reduce air leakage, providing greater comfort and reduced energy consumption. This results in lower energy bills for consumers, and homes that stay cool in the summer, warm in the winter and dry all year round.

The DuPont Weatherization Systems are adaptable for every climate and every building façade, providing specialized wraps, flashing and fasteners.
