How to Schedule RAM Courses for Local Multifamily Councils

Local multifamily councils can schedule Registered in Apartment Management (RAM) educational courses through the NAHB University of Housing. RAM is a comprehensive educational and designation program offered to property management professionals by NAHB.

“RAM is the most sought-after credential by managers of apartments and condominiums, both market-rate and affordable,” said Jacquelyn Bruchi, a RAM designation holder and president of Shadowlake Management Company in New Orleans. “Offering the course is a great opportunity to serve the multifamily members of your HBA.”

To schedule courses:

  • Contact the NAHB University of Housing staff at 800-368-5242 x8338 to request a RAM course description and general information about the RAM program in addition to the license agreement, which is required annually and needed to host NAHB-sponsored courses.

  • If your HBA is a joint venture education partner with NAHB, simply add RAM to your current course offerings. If not, become a partner by obtaining a license agreement through the NAHB University of Housing to host NAHB educational courses and exams for one, low annual fee.

  • Select an instructor from the RAM approved instructor list. The NAHB University of Housing staff can help you find an instructor who serves your area.

  • Set a course date and time and inform the NAHB University of Housing for scheduling.

  • Begin marketing your RAM class to members and non-members. The University of Housing can also help you market your course with RAM marketing materials, templates, brochures and more.

RAM program classes can be tailored and adjusted to fit local needs and can be hosted on site.

For more information or to schedule a RAM class, call the NAHB University of Housing at 800-368-5242 x8338, or visit www.nahb.org/RAMinfo.
