"Dream Builders" on HGTV
Episode: "Virginia Family Fun House, Georgia Tree House"

A Virginia family home includes a waterfall pool and racquetball court. An amazing home outside of Atlanta has underground rooms topped with a circular structure that mimics a tree. A Sarasota, Fla. home features a moat/swimming pool, bridge and clock tower. The owners of an old cottage in Colorado say you can still hear the ghost of a missing gold miner in their Breckenridge home. Owners of a home in California wine country turn to a master carpenter to create cabinets for their Asian-inspired home.
"Rock Solid" on DIY

|
• Sept. 14, 5:00 p.m. ET/PT
• Sept. 16, 11:30 a.m. ET/PT |

Building old fashioned fireplaces once required elaborate staging and costly material. Now, with modern building materials like manufactured stone, they're now a relatively easy way to dress up a bland room. For this project, Derek and Dean travel to South Carolina to create a manufactured stone fireplace that has the look of real stone — without the cost.
"Assembly Required" on DIY
Episode: "Cantilever Prefab"
|
• Sept. 13, 10:30 p.m. ET/PT
• Sept. 14, 2:30 a.m. ET/PT
• Sept. 17, noon ET/PT
• Sept. 19, 5:30 p.m. ET/PT |
|
What does a flood plain in Georgia have in common with a rocky mountain in Washington State? They’re both extremely hard sites to build on and require lots of natural preservation. The solution for each? Design a home that cantilevers. Watch as a Georgia build crew puts together its first pedestal post and beam-style kit home. And check out architect Peter Anderson’s modern take on cantilever design.
