NAHB Launches Free E-Mail Newsletter for Consumers

NAHB launched the first issue of the free, quarterly electronic newsletter for consumers, NAHB HouseKeys, last week. The newsletter will offer consumers advice from national experts on building, remodeling and caring for their most important investment, their home.

Available free via e-mail, NAHB HouseKeys will guide consumers through every stage of homeownership and the home building process.

“NAHB has a long, proud history of providing top-notch resources to our country’s home owners,” said NAHB President David Pressly. “With NAHB HouseKeys, we can provide even more great information to consumers, delivering it directly from the experts, right to the reader’s inbox.”

In this inaugural issue, renowned consumer author Carol Smith writes about how to choose a home builder and learn the pros and cons of the three main types of home builders — production, semi-custom and custom. Find out more here.

Also in this issue, Kenneth R. Harney, an award-winning, nationally syndicated real estate columnist, delves into different types of mortgages. Harney’s columns regularly appear in 90 different newspapers across the country. His guidance on the pros and cons of some of the most popular new alternatives to traditional mortgages is a must for any prospective home owner. Read more here.
