Witt Resigns as Head of International Code Council

The International Code Council is seeking a new CEO to replace James Lee Witt, who will resign from the membership association effective Aug. 1.

Witt is also chairman and CEO of James Lee Witt Associates, a disaster recovery and mitigation management services firm, and said he was leaving his ICC post because his firm has been acquired by Global Options Group, another risk management company.

Witt also served as director of the Federal Emergency Management Association during the Clinton administration.
