Decorative Glass a Popular Option for Front Doors

For personalizing the home and increasing natural light, decorative doorglass is an upgrade option deserving the attention of home builders and their customers, according to building product supplier ODL, Inc.

Celebrating its 60th anniversary from headquarters in Zeeland, Mich., ODL is a member of the National Council of the Housing Industry — The Supplier 100 of NAHB.

In a national study of some 2,500 home owners, more than 81% of female respondents selected a front entry door with decorative glass as their first choice over doors with either no glass or clear glass, according to ODL.

In the same survey, 90% of home owners agreed that a front entry with decorative glass adds to both curb appeal and the perceived value of the home.

According to one design center consultant, interior and exterior photos of entrances near door displays help builders provide a reference point for buyers. With this in mind, ODL offers a number of versatile display options to help builders sell this option to their customers.

Because it has a wide variety of doorglass options, ODL offers builders a customized sell sheet that enables them to establish entrance packages suited to specific buyer profiles and avoid overwhelming their home buyers by the decision process.
