Therma-Tru Is Lowe’s Supplier of 2005

At December’s annual Vendor Forum for home improvement retailers, Lowe’s named Therma-Tru Doors the millwork supplier of the year in recognition of its high standards in innovation, product performance and responsive customer service.

Headquartered in Maumee, Ohio, Therma-Tru is a member of the National Council of the Housing Industry — The Supplier 100 of NAHB.

“Since the beginning of our partnersnhip, they have met every challenge and continue to exceed our expectations,” said Scott Plemmons, Lowe’s vice president of merchandising for millwork, in recognition of the efforts of the Therma-Tru team. “We believe that together, we have even better opportunities ahead of us.”

In late 2004, Therma-Tru added Benchmark by Therma-Tru fiberglass door systems as a stock product in Lowe’s stores, along with a corresponding special order kiosk with consumer-oriented product brochures and step-by-step point-of-purchase guides to further assist the store’s customers in selecting a door.

Therma-Tru also worked closely with the Lowe’s training department to educate the sales staff on the benefits of fiberglass and attributes of the product line.

Available exclusively at Lowe’s, Benchmark by Therma-Tru fiberglass entry doors provide proven durability and performance at a great value, according to the manufacturer. The fiberglass doors are low-maintenance, provide five times the insulating value of wood, and won’t rot or warp like wood, or dent and rust like steel.

The doors are available in factory finishes or unfinished, and come in 6-foot, eight-inch and 8-foot heights with embossed panel styling, decorative glass and complementary sidelites and transoms.
