Deadlines Near for NAHB Outreach Awards Nominations

NAHB has a number of award opportunities available for builders, remodelers, architects, designers, developers, land planners and home builders associations nationwide. Earn the recognition you deserve as well as cash for your HBA or favorite charity.

Deadlines are fast approaching — enter today.



Innovation in Workforce Housing Awards

The deadline for the Innovation in Workforce Housing Awards has been extended to Wednesday, Nov. 9.

This award is for builders, architects, designers, developers and land planners. It recognizes outstanding examples of workforce housing communities across the nation that provide decent and affordable homes for nurses, police officers, schoolteachers, retail workers and the like near areas in which they work.

Winners will receive a glass award and award logo to use in marketing materials. They also will be featured in a press release and in articles in Nation's Building News and other NAHB member newsletters.

The award winners will be announced in January during the International Builders’ Show in Orlando.

The National Housing Endowment Builder Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Service Award

For: NAHB builder and remodeler members

Recognizing: Exceptional community service and charitable work performed by builder and remodeler members that reflects their unwavering commitment to the communities in which they build.

Deadline: Nov. 18

Award: Eight honorees will receive awards including Gold, Silver, Bronze and five honorable mention awards. In addition to a recognition award, the winners will receive donations to be directed to a charity of their choice ranging from $10,000 for the Gold winner to $1,000 for the honorable mentions.

The National Housing Endowment Home Builders Care Project of the Year

For: Home builders associations and councils affiliated with NAHB

Recognizing: An outstanding community service project that epitomizes the commitment of home builders across the country to making a difference in their local communities through community service and charitable work.

Deadline: Nov. 4

Award: Winners will receive a $5,000 donation directed to the charity of their choice and will be recognized at the annual International Builders' Show.

The National Association of Home Builders/National Organization on Disability (N.O.D) Award

For: HBAs

Recognizing: Outstanding examples of programs, projects and activities conducted by NAHB member home builder associations that further the goal of full participation of people with disabilities in community life.

Deadline: Nov. 18

Award: The winning initiative will receive a $1,000 cash award and will become eligible to compete for one of five national cash awards from the National Organization on Disability and its program sponsor, Prudential Financial, Inc. Prudential will present the top five entries in the awards competition nationwide with an additional $2,500 cash prize in honor of the 15th anniversary the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
