Women’s Council Scholarship Winners Announced

Two women majoring in construction management are the recipients of the 2005 NAHB Women’s Council/National Housing Endowment “Strategies for Success” Scholarship. The National Housing Endowment is the philanthropic arm of NAHB.

The scholarship winners are:

  • Erin Royal, a construction management major at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
  • Jacquelyn Bauer, a construction management major at the University of Denver

Each student will receive a $1,000 award that may be used to pay for tuition, fees or books.

“Although we have had many excellent entries, Erin and Jacquelyn truly stood out thanks to their exceptional commitment to both the home building industry and their academic careers,” said Lisa Forsman, chair of the NAHB Women’s Council. “We’re pleased to be able to help these students further their education, and are confident that they will make significant contributions to the field of residential construction.”

Established in 2001, the NAHB Women’s Council/National Housing Endowment “Strategies for Success” Scholarship provides financial support to students pursuing an education in a field of study that will prepare them for careers in housing or a housing related industry. The scholarship is funded by Women’s Council members.
