Air Force Forum to Cover Housing Development

The U.S. Air Force is seeking private industry developers, financiers, home builders and property managers to finance, construct, renovate and manage more than 30,000 family housing units.

A National Industry Forum will be held in Chicago on Aug. 3-4 to showcase upcoming projects and to provide information about private industry participation in the Air Force Housing Privatization effort.

Presentations at this forum will cover the location and nature of future housing privatization projects and may also provide opportunities for vendors of housing-related materials and services to network with project developers.

The Air Force has already awarded 13 housing privatization contracts covering almost 11,000 family housing units. These awards typically call for the successful developer to build or renovate family housing on-base and then manage and maintain it for 50 years.
