An architect builds a glass house framed in steel and aluminum. A city dweller heads to Montana to live in a converted silo in the Absaroka Mountains. Adjoining decrepit beach houses get updated as one spectacular pavilion. An 18th century historic home in Virginia is now open to the public. Looking for something different for her kitchen backsplash, a woman settles on sanded aluminum.

Derek and Dean build a stone fire pit with a crushed stone seating area in a backyard. They go to a local quarry to pick out the fieldstone for the fire pit and share tips on what stones to look for. They also explain how to position and organize those stones on-site to ensure easy installation and a beautiful finished project, as well as mud mixing, chiseling and how to finesse the stone into place.
