Fire Alarm System Uses a Single Pair of Wires
Developed by Honeywell’s Fire Control Instruments as a life safety system for commercial and industrial applications, NetSOLO® Broadband is the first product to deliver full-network control and communications, digital messaging, live voice instructions and fire fighter telephone communications through a distributed network fire alarm system all on a single pair of wires, according to the manufacturer. Contractors can install the system with less labor and material because of its dramatic reduction in the wires, cable or fiber required.
Based in Morris Township, NJ, Honeywell is a member of the National Council of the Housing Industry — the Supplier 100 of NAHB.
Contractors can purchase the fire alarm system in stages rather than all at once, allowing for cost-control throughout potentially long projects. Furthermore, because NetSOLO uses up to five times less riser wire and incorporates existing 7100 panels, the system doesn’t need to be redesigned and can be expanded as the user’s application grows.
The product’s combination of speed, adaptability and ease-of-installation results in lower implementation costs while providing the most rugged and easy-to-use system in the industry today, Honeywell says.
