In tecHOMExpo™ Address, Perot to Discuss Increasing Profits Through Technology
Ross Perot, Jr., the president and CEO of Perot Systems, will give the keynote address at tecHOMExpo™ during the 2005 International Builders’ Show in Orlando, FL. He will discuss how to effectively use new technology in home building.
Perot Systems, a $1.5 billion global business technology firm based in Plano, TX, provides business consulting, business process outsourcing, applications and IT infrastructure services to companies in a variety of industries — including home building, engineering and construction — so they can become more efficient, competitive and profitable.
In his keynote address, “From Vision to Success: Applying Technology in Home Building,” Perot will discuss how to use technology-based, customized business processes to increase efficiencies, improve quality, build market strength and increase margins.
Perot has first-hand experience in the building industry. He is chairman of the Hillwood Development Corporation, a real estate development and investment firm. Two of Hillwood’s largest projects include AllianceTexas, a 15,000-acre development near Dallas, and Victory, a 70-acre development in Dallas that includes the American Airlines Center, home of the Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars.
Perot is also a world record-holding aviator. In 1982, he completed the first helicopter flight around the world — traveling 26,000 miles in less than 30 days. His helicopter, The Spirit of Texas, is on display at the Smithsonian Institution’s Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
