Brothers Robert Hanbury, CGR, and Alan Hanbury, CGR, CAPS, of the House of Hanbury Builders in Newington, CT, received the Chairman’s Award for their outstanding contribution to the industry. The Hanbury brothers have held or currently hold leadership positions within their local Remodelors™ Council, the Home Builders Association of Hartford County and NAHB. Both have chaired the NAHB Remodelors™ Council and played a role in the creation of the first NAHB Remodeler 20 Club.
Robert Hanbury has served on the NAHB Budget and Construction, Codes and Standards Committees. He also worked on lead regulations and the proposed Lead Safe Work Practices. He is currently the NAHB State Representative for Connecticut.
Alan Hanbury served on the NAHB Education Central Task Force that led to The NAHB University of Housing and chaired the NAHB Board of Education. He currently serves on the CAPS Board of Governors.
