Military Housing Privatization Projects Coming Up in Florida, Oklahoma

Military housing privatization projects are shaping up in Florida and Oklahoma, and builders who are interested in pursuing these opportunities must attend industry forums scheduled for next month.

Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field

The Air Force is seeking qualified entities to own, renovate, operate and maintain 2,155 family housing units on Eglin Air Force Base and Hurlburt Field in Florida for at least 50 years.

The goal is to provide military families with safe, quality, affordable, well-maintained housing in a desirable community. The project provides a unique opportunity for firms to assist in the development, operation and financing of this family housing privatization effort.

Interested parties must attend an industry forum on Jan. 14 at the Emerald Coast Conference Center in Fort Walton Beach that will provide pertinent information on the project.
