A Message from the Candidate
Gary Garczynski, NAHB immediate past president and 2003 Nominations Committee chairman, has announced that Brian Catalde has been certified by the Nominations Committee to seek the office of NAHB Vice President and Secretary for the year 2004.
Following is Catalde's message to the NAHB membership:
Message from the Candidate
 The question asked most often is, “Why do you want to be a candidate and commit five years of your life to the national association?” The answer for me is easy.
- First, I’ve been building homes for 35 years and can’t imagine that any other occupation could have provided as much enjoyment and sense of accomplishment as this one.
- Second, I’ve made friendships along the way that I will value for a lifetime, and these friendships were made at the local, state and national levels.
- Third, this industry has provided me with an unbelievable opportunity to succeed, and this is my opportunity to help ensure the same for future generations of builders.
