U.S. Rep. Hoyer Tours NAHB Research Center

U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-MD), representing the Fifth Congressional District of Maryland, toured the NAHB Research Center on March 10 to learn about its activities and service to the home building industry.

Hoyer is responsible for securing funding for the National Center for Seniors’ Housing Research, which is headquartered at the NAHB Research Center.

The congressman also participated in a press conference last May to release the findings of the Research Center’s housing performance evaluation following a devastating tornado in La Plata, MD, on April 28.

Hoyer was briefed on the ToolBase Services program, the national Partnership for Advancing Technology in Housing, seniors’ housing research, the center’s Military Housing division and its Laboratory and Certification Services division.
