Speakers Sought for 2009 Green Building Conference

Applications are now being accepted from interested speakers and presenters  who want to be part of the 2009 NAHB National Green Building Conference, which takes place May 8-10 in Dallas.

Conference organizers want to get a head start on planning next year's event, particularly as attendance continues to grow: 1,557 builders, remodelers, manufacturers and other home building industry professionals attended this year's successful event in New Orleans.

The 10th anniversary conference in New Orleans featured expanded educational tracks to cover different facets of the green industry, including land development, marketing and building science; and to differentiate between introductory and advanced sessions.

Results of attendee surveys indicate that next year's conference should go even further. As more green builders continue to gain skills and experience, even more advanced educational sessions are needed, attendees said.

All applications must be completed and submitted by Aug. 1 to be eligible for consideration. Additional information is available from NAHB Green Building Program Manager Chad Riedy at 800-368-8310.
