The Southern Nevada Green Building Partnership announced that R/S Development has signed up to participate in the metropolitan Las Vegas green building program. The company initially plans to build 182 homes to the program, based on the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines. Earlier this month, the Southern Nevada HBA program announced the participation of Signature Homes, which plans a 70-unit green subdivision . . .

The Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange and Chatham Counties in North Carolina has 135 enrolled homes and plans a January expansion to become the Triangle Green Building Program in cooperation with the  neighboring Home Builders Association of Raleigh and Wake County. About 75 Wake County builders attended the informational meeting. HBADOC continues to seek partnershi[s with state and local organizations, recently participating in the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Tour . . . 

Built Green Colorado is a sponsor of the Urban Land Institute's Nov. 7 presentation "Dollars and Cents of Sustainable Development." Additional information about the seminar is available here . . . The Texas Association of Builders is working with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and state environmental officials to sponsor a series of stormwater permitting education sessions. The Extreme Makeover: Home Edition team has arrived in the Seattle area to change the lives another deserving family -- and is using the NAHB Model Green Home Building Guidelines to guide the green building process. The project is led by Doyle Custom Homes and the Building Industry Association of Washington and is expected to air in January 2008. . . .
